The 61st Asia-Pacific Film Festival
The 61st Asia Pacific Film Festival (APFF61) is set to return with an exciting three-day event which is organised by Malaysian Film Producers Association (PFM), Lomo Pictures, NCT Group and Asia-pacific International Arts Festival, taking place from November 29 to December 1, 2024, held in Wyndham Ion Majestic Hotel Genting Highlands, Malaysia.

Ayis, Malesh, and Sia, from different races, work together in a hotel. Their clashes and arguments lead to an office prank gone wrong, swapping Ayis and Sia’s bodies. They seek Malesh’s help to switch back.
Sia learns about Malay culture in Ayis’ body, understanding family values. Ayis discovers the weak relationships in Sia’s family but bonds with his son through music. Mistaken for Ayis, Sia is asked to rob their workplace but refuses. The gang proceeds and knocks out Ayis, Sia, and Malesh, framing them. Although released by the police, Ayis is kidnapped by the gang leader, leading to their discovery of why they can’t switch back.

LOMO has distributed a few films such as ‘Guang’ , Taiwan movie ‘Big Three Dragon’ , ‘Escape Plan: The Extractors’ and animation feature ‘Salma’s Big wish’ that distributed and promoted through Lomo’s extensive partnership and network.
LOMO also co-distribute a film named ‘Victim(s)’ in the 2020, which directed by a China director – Layla Ji.
In order to be fully integrated with international film industry, LOMO has been actively advocated and participated in international film collaboration.
'Haunted Hotel/Haunted Road 2' directed by Ryon Lee is the best example between China and Malaysia collaboration. (RMB11.5 million Box-office in China).
'Haunted Hotel/Haunted Road 2' is collaborated between China and Malaysia investment and the movie was filmed in Malaysia; the partner from China is responsible for distribution in China, and the global distribution is in charged by Lomo.
Meanwhile, the distribution scope of LOMO is not limited to only theater, we also distribute our film through OTT, pay-tv channel, free-tv channels, in-flight and online streaming.
LOMO has worked closely with Malaysia’s cinema since 2016.
With good market spotting by our experienced producer, including the timing of the movie to be released on cinema and the target audience for the genre, box office for the movie is guaranteed for our investors.
